The first went to Federico D\u00edaz, the Association&#039;s training director, who received a well-deserved distinction for his impeccable coordination of the 2024\u20132025 Sommelier Diploma. The second was a posthumous award to Simone Pint\u00f3n, presented with profound respect and received with great emotion by Ana Teresa, assistant to the food and beverage director at Casa de Campo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The formal opening of the ceremony was led by sommelier Jos\u00e9 Silverio, who recalled the dual purpose of the event: to celebrate the longevity of our profession and to respectfully honor the memory of sommelier Simone Pint\u00f3n, honored as Sommelier of the Year in 2010, and of other deceased members whose legacy lives on among us: Dr. Carmen Cataldi, Andr\u00e9s Meschisi, Andr\u00e9s Joubert, and Sergio Ottato. Their names evoked commitment, passion, and dedication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, sommelier Rafael Alexander offered a few words of encouragement to the members present, thanking the sponsors and emphasizing the importance of collective effort.
